Gallery: Noah Kahan at The Calvin Theatre

by Jacklyn Lipscomb

The Calvin Theatre presents: Noah Kahan October 21st, 2022, in Northampton, Massachusetts.

New England's beloved rising star Noah Kahan finally brought his Stick Season tour to Northampton, Massachusetts this past Friday night. The much awaited rescheduled tour date from last fall was upgraded from the local Pearl Street Nightclub to The Calvin Theatre, where Noah played to a sold out crowd of hundreds making their way to the pioneer valley to sing and dance the night away. Kahan, originally hailing from Vermont, has recently garnered attention from millions throughout 2022 with his highly anticipated single "Stick Season" going viral on TikTok and becoming the title track of his newly released folk album. The show was jam packed with new tracks like "Northern Attitude", "All My Love", "Everywhere, Everything", "Growing Sideways" and "Orange Juice", along with older classics like "Mess", "Passenger", "Carlo's Song" and a special stripped back version of "Young Blood." Despite the album only having been released for one week, almost every person in the room was singing along at the top of their lungs, happily reciting all of the lyrics back to a very humbled, and evidently grateful Kahan who was just basking in the glory of getting to perform these new creations live onstage. There was something exceptionally special in the air as old and new fans alike found Noah's songs and brutally honest words resonating with them in ways that transcend the traditional boundaries of music. Continuing onward to play to more sold-out venues across New England in the coming days, there is no doubt that everyone who has been lucky enough to catch Noah Kahan's performance so far has officially been lucky enough to witness the region's biggest new name in the music industry.
